This Is Not My Britain!

“This is NOT My Britain” was a verbatim piece devised in 4 weeks as part of Sanjay’s 3rdYear Negotiated project.  He asked various people from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority backgrounds if this (Britain) was still their home post Brexit. Looking at the surge in racism since the vote.

The piece was mentored by Verbatim Theatre Specialist Vanessa Coffey, who supported Sanjay during his module, which in the end earned him his first “A” on his degree.

Alongside Sanjay, The cast included friends from outside of RCS and a 1st year actor, they were :

Adam Buksh , Ishrat Gazala and Felixe Forde
